Position Summary

The senior administrative assistant is responsible for providing a variety of administrative and specialized task assignments to support the COO. The Senior Administrative Assistant will work with a high degree of independence and responsibility and is an instrumental part of the organization's growth and development. The Sr. Admin maintains sensitive and confidential information. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality work, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad clerical knowledge. S/he interacts with many C-suite executives across Montage Health and SVMHS, as well as departmental directors, medical staff, supervisors, peers in a positive, and patients & family service oriented manner.

Experience/Skill Set

  • Three years of administrative assistant experience required
  • Experience with Board governance preferred
  • Experience with BoardEffect or similar Board portal software preferred
  • Working knowledge of office equipment required
  • Knowledge of PC systems and MS Office required (PPT, Publisher, Outlook & Excel) required
  • Knowledge of professional business correspondence and the ability to proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy is required
  • Must have demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to organize and handle competing priorities
  • Reception experience with diverse responsibilities preferred
  • Pro-active problem solving skills required
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Willing to work adjusted hours when necessary for special events or presentations required
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • Works well independently and collaboratively
  • Takes initiative to identify project improvements

Education

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Some college or business courses preferred

Licensure

  • Valid CA driver's license and access to transportation
