Position Summary

Under the leadership of the ChiefInformation Officer, the Applications Analyst I reports to the ApplicationSupervisor and is responsible for systems analysis, process/workflow optimization,software implementation, and support for applications maintained by the Health Information Technology department.

The Application Analyst isresponsible for supporting basic application functions, performing systemconfiguration tasks, resolving problems, performing system upgrades andpatching, and meeting all customer expectations for clinical and/or businessapplications.

Serves as the liaison between the staff, technology teams,and support teams. Utilizes applicationexpert knowledge and tools to optimize applications. Develops strategies forchange management and system performance improvement utilizing quality improvement principles,practices, and tools. Collaborates with users andvendors in resolving system problems. Participatesin planning, building, evaluating, testing, implementing, and documenting currentand future state processes/workflows, modules, screens, and interfaces for applications.Guides application users in identifying functional requirements andimplementing effective information support systems. Maintains current knowledgeof organizational quality and business measures, and regulatory requirementsand performs configuration of applications to support compliance. Guides end usersin evaluating their processes/workflows in order to define, simplify, andautomate the activities comprising each process. Works closely with PrincipalTrainers on workflows and in support of end user training. Recommends automatedsolutions. Leads small projects.Must be able to effectively utilize incident management tools and procedures toaccurately track and escalate issues. A wide degree of creativity and latitudeis expected. 



  • Extensiveimplementation, support & maintenance of patient work-queues, hospitalinpatient and outpatient registration workflows, batch jobs, Patient AccessReporting Workbench and Radar reports, documents and e-signature, and hospitalaccount advisor configuration required
  • Extensiveimplementation, support & maintenance bed charge billing table, patientclass configuration, patient movement workflows, and ADT/Orders integrationrequired
  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills required
  • Stronginterpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels ofstaff required
  • Self-motivatedand flexible to accommodate changes in business strategies required
  • Abilityto work productively in teams and independently required
  • Stronganalytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how tointerpret customer business needs and translate them into application andoperational requirements
  • Abilityto effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressureenvironment

  • BachelorDegree or equivalent work experience required


  • Preludeand Grand Central/ADT Epic Applications Certifications required
  • Cadence/RTE/ReferralsEpic Applications Certification preferred
  • CEEVersion 2018 preferred
