Job Description:

Under the leadership of the department Director and Breast Care Center Coordinator, the Mammography Technologist is responsible for delivering quality patient care to all patient populations in the Breast Care Center, as well as other areas of service. The Mammography Technologist possesses skills and knowledge to competently provide quality screening and diagnostic breast imaging services with proper documentation of mammography record requirements and radiation safety, while maximizing the use of equipment and resources. The technologist will also perform 3D breast ultrasound (ABUS).  This individual also interacts in a positive, service-oriented manner with patients, medical staff, and peers, and performs all EPIC and HIS procedures in the area of assignment.

Experience

Mammography experience of at least three years is preferred.

Education:

As necessary to obtain required licensure.

Licensure/Certifications:

The Mammography Technologist must have current licensure with the State of California in Diagnostic Radiography and Mammography.  Additional current licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for Radiography is preferred.  American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.

Assigned Work Hours:

Monday - Saturday varied days and shifts

8 hour shifts

Start times range from 6:30am - 9:30 a.m.

Regular

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$56.93

to

$76.16

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.67

Hourly Night Shift Differential: $5.50
